In the classical deck there are four suits: Swords, Pentacles, Cups and Wands which correspond to the classical Western European understanding of life situations. Since our author´s vision of Tarot is close to the traditional Ukrainian one, we have initiated four own transformations of suits: the Sabers, the Maces, the Horseshoes and the Bowls. We interpret the Swords suit as Ukrainian Sabers which is the traditional weapon of the Ukrainian Cossacks that symbolizes aggression, force, oppression. The Maces correspond to Western European Wands as a symbol of power, the supremacy of ideas, new searches and desires. Symbolism of the Pentacles or the Coins corresponds to the Horseshoes which depict that happiness, luck and success accompany those who find it. The Cups suit remains unchanged.
